This system also uses sealed trays and home bleaching - the gel is contained in unit doses for maximum freshness.
The procedure | The system takes 15 days and is divided into 3 stages

This uses a combination of carbamide peroxide and hydrogen peroxide. There is also a mini ramp system for annual maintenance. This system will suit the younger patient, looking for a B1 or lighter shade.
Optimum whitening achieved in approximately 15 days.
Custom made bleaching trays are made and worn overnight using carbamide peroxide gel.
Treatment time will depend on the initial colour of the teeth.
Normally the teeth will change about 8 shades and will take between 2-6 weeks of wear.
Optimum whitening achieved in approximately 2-4 weeks
This method works the same way as the night bleaching. However, the gel is formulated differently allowing the trays to be worn for about 1 hour a day.
This system produces good results, with the convenience of short wear periods, but may increase the risk of sensitivity.
Optimum whitening achieved in approximately 2 - 4 weeks
The method involves treatment within the dental surgery which has the advantage of an instant result. However, there is an increased risk of sensitivity and the shade achieved is unpredictable.
The procedure | Studies have shown that this method produces the least stable results and patients will usually require the procedure to be repeated every 5-6 months. The overall result can be improved by following on with home bleaching for a few days after treatment.

Enlighten uses a combination of home and in-office bleaching and is regarded as the gold standard of tooth whitening. Enlighten guarantee that the shade achieved will be B1 or lighter.
The procedure | Detailed impressions are taken to produce sealed Enlighten Evolution trays which limit saliva inflow and therefore gel inactivation. Research has shown that optimum long-term results are achieved with the system using trays worn overnight.
With the Enlighten system, the trays are worn for 14-28 consecutive nights followed by a final in-office procedure on day 15 or 29.
